FOLK BRITANNIA SEASON

As well as a major new documentary series and the broadcast of two concerts filmed at the Barbican, our Folk Britannia season includes highlights from the BBC archive, including recent gigs and gems rarely seen since the 1970s. Here's the full line-up.

FOLK BRITANNIA 1: BALLADS & BLUES

Part one of our major three-part series tracing the history of British folk music.

The second compilation programme of BBC archive performances.

A comic take on folk music. The daughter of fictional legend Lucas Wilson II recalls her father's career.

In this 1972 performance, the folk-pop troubadour performs hits including Catch the Wind and Mellow Yellow.

BERT JANSCH: BBC FOUR SESSIONS

A 2003 gig celebrating Jansch's 60th birthday. Guests include Johnny Marr, Bernard Butler, Ralph McTell and Jacqui McShee.

BBC concert from 1970 showcasing the original line-up of experimental folk-rockers at the height of their powers.
