Old Blind Dogs
OLD BLIND DOGS

Originally from Aberdeen, the Old Blind Dogs line-up has evolved constantly over the years and over this time the band has earned
worldwide recognition for their fresh approach to Scottish traditional music with their trademark tight, carefully crafted fusion sound. A major factor in their music is their Northeastern Doric heritage, a rich vein of culture and language which has perhaps been less visible to the outside world than the more obvious Highland tradition.

In 2004, Old Blind Dogs won the Folk Band of the Year award at the Scots Trad Music Awards, and Jim Malcolm was also named Songwriter of the Year.

This is your last chance to see the current line-up in action at Celtic Connections, as singer Jim Malcolm recently announced he is leaving the band to concentrate on other projects.
