Buille

BUILLE

Led by Niall Vallely, a concertina wizard and former member of the Cork-based Nomos, whose magic fingers must be heard to be believed. For Celtic Connections Niall is backed by brother Caoimhín Vallely on piano, with Ed Boyd on guitar and Brian Morrisey on bodhran.

Buille released their debut album to much praise in the Irish press in June 2005. The self-titled collection is mostly of original material penned by Niall in the Irish and Scottish traditions, but it also shows strong jazz and classical leanings.

This performance was recorded in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
