The Originals, graphic novel published by VertigoDave Gibbons (born 1949)One of the original 2000AD artists, Dave Gibbons made his name on series such as Harlem Heroes, Judge Dredd, Dan Dare and Rogue Trooper. He went on to become the lead artist on Marvel UK's Doctor Who Monthly. From this work he moved on to DC Comics, where he created the artwork for the classic Watchmen, written by Alan Moore, in the mid 1980s. He recently wrote and illustrated his own graphic novel The Originals, a futuristic take on the Mod phenomenon. See a detail from this page.
