In PicturesComics Britannia: Judge Dredd, Carlos Ezquerra
Judge Dredd from 2000 AD ™Carlos Ezquerra (born 1947)Working with the script of John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra created the look and style of Judge Dredd for 2000AD. Although his take on Dredd was not the first to be published (that honour went to Mick McMahon) there would be no Judge Dredd as we know him without Ezquerra's futuristic take on the fascistic lawmaker. The artist started in British comics in the early 1970s, working on Battle Picture Weekly, from where he moved to 2000AD. Ezquerra's artwork for the comic included Strontium Dog, The Stainless Steel Rat and, of course, Dredd. See a detail from this page. Featured artwork from 2000 AD ™ & © Rebellion A/S
