The Actress and the Bishop Throw a Party 1989. First published in A1Brian Bolland (born 1951)Brian Bolland is known for his highly individual style, most often associated with the pages and covers of 2000AD. From the British underground scene of the early 1970s, Bolland moved onto Nigerian superhero Powerman in 1975. When 2000AD started in 1977, Bolland went on to work on the Judge Dredd strip, becoming one of the fans' favourite artists and penning several covers. Bolland has also written, as well as drawn, his own characters such as Mr Mamoulian in Escape and Negative Burn; and The Actress and the Bishop for A1. He has also worked for DC Comics edgy British exile imprint Vertigo and worked on the successful Killing Joke Batman graphic novel (written by Alan Moore). See a detail from this page.
