In PicturesComics Britannia: Bella, John Armstrong
Bella from Tammy, 9 July 1983John ArmstrongMixing traditional British style with a certain Latin flair, Armstrong is renowned for his work on romance and girls' comics, such as Tammy and horror title Misty. A much neglected area of artistic work, girls' comics often had some of the best stories and artwork in the business. On the Misty title he combined his experience of girls' adventure stories such as Bella in Tammy, with a new twist by adding suspenseful, gothic horror imagery. See a detail from this page.
