Mr Fu and Mr Liu are both marooned in middle age, and they happen to work at one of the largest railway stations in China. This Happy Life follows them as they attempt to make sense of what appears to be a series of completely unsolvable problems.
But the film also tells you what it's like to be male and Chinese. Neither men have happy private lives, though since the film has been shown in China they've both received many offers of marriage and free cars from the Mercedes dealership in Beijing.
