Don Pennebaker and Chris Hedegus have been making films together since the mid 1970s. Before that, Don was one of the pioneers of the Direct Cinema movement.
We owe to them, singly or together, such films as Don't Look Back, The War Room and Startup.com.
The wonderful thing about Hoffman's film is that it shows just how nice the Pennebakers are - the qualities of humane attentiveness and scrupulous eye to detail are to be found in Don and Chris.
