In 1997 world chess champion Gary Kasparov fought two battles with IBM's Deep Blue computer. Game Over recounts Gary's struggle against the machine - which he lost, to his great chagrin.
The film is fascinating on many levels - as a portrait of a driven, haunted character, and a depiction of the ruthlessness with which contemporary, large companies pursue their aims and defend their interest.
You don't really have to know anything about chess to appreciate the significance of Gary's struggle against the machine.
