This is a concert movie in which the performers from the Coen Brothers' film O Brother, Where Art Thou? are brought together at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

The film has become a cult movie among admirers of bluegrass music. The playing is both eccentric and very moving. As well as performances from the likes of Emmylou Harris, Ralph Stanley and Alison Krauss, the film also captures the backstage rehearsals and preparations that went into the event.

Down From The Mountain makes you look at country music in a completely different way.
