How do you go about becoming a Chinese pop star if you are Greek and were brought up in a suburb of Ottawa? Well, this witty film will tell you.
I am not capable of evaluating George Sapounidis' bouzouki skills and my Mandarin doesn't stretch to understanding why Chinese audiences giggle at his every appearance.
However, I am sure there are things to learn from bizarre tales of cultural cross-dressing and this terrific film will tell us all how to amuse ourselves in the new globalised century - without depleting the environment.
I'm not sure what you find out by the end of the film - it may be that the real answer to the perplexities of the contemporary world is just to keep running, as George does, and hope for the best.
