What happens when a group of hairdressers from New York fetch up in Kabul with the intention of telling Afghan women how to do hair? Well, this isn't a stray episode from Ab Fab. It's a remarkable story of cultures encountering each other without serious mishap.

The Afghan women are very keen to learn about hair. They have, in fact, being doing hair under the Taleban - it turns out that women would go dressed in their burkas from one clandestine salon to the other in search of the perfect hairdo.

A poignant, funny and nicely made film from a zone where cultures don't need to clash.
