This three-part series tracks the hugely important place of dance in the UK's culture, using rare and unseen archive material to tell the definitive story of popular dance in Britain in the 20th century.
From the Lambeth Walk to the rave scene, Dance Britannia shows the moves, but also examines the social significance of dance in Britain, touching on ideas of sex and romance, class and race, and economics and social aspiration.
