COMICS BRITANNIA - THE SERIES
Originally broadcast on BBC Four in September 2007
Comics Britannia is a dazzling new three-part series celebrating the classic comic strips of the past 70 years. It was originally broadcast in September 2007, as the centrepiece of BBC Four's Comics Britannia season.
Narrated by Armando Iannucci, it features interviews with the creators of iconic characters from The Beano, Bunty, Commando, Viz, 2000AD and more. After episode three has aired, watch out for even more interview footage of comic giant Alan Moore here on the BBC Four website.

1. THE FUN FACTORY
Concentrating on the work of comic geniuses such as Leo Baxendale, programme one takes us from the launch of The Dandy through to the comics of the mid-1960s to examine how the anarchic humour of these cheap, colourful publications enchanted an entire generation.
