Maharishi Mahesh Yogi introduced Transcendental Meditation to the West, with the intention of creating individual and global peace and Enlightenment. After studying in the Himalayas under Guru Dev during the 40s and 50s, Maharishi spread the teachings throughout the world. By now, about four million people in over 100 countries have learned the technique.
