Martha Gellhorn
American war correspondent and novelist

Known for her remarkable work as a war reporter, Martha Gellhorn covered the Spanish Civil War in 1937, World War II, Vietnam, the 1967 Six-Day War in the Middle East and the Sandinistas' defence of Nicaragua in the early 1980s. She was also a fiction writer.
