Four Last Songs

BBC Films and Ingenious Film Partners present a Home Movies and Mate Cantero Production in association with BBC Films

Larry is a penniless musician with big dreams. Having left America to develop his talent and make his mark, he's ended up playing piano in a local bar in the beautiful Mediterranean village where he has settled - a village made famous by a great composer who lived and died there. Now Larry has persuaded the composer's reclusive widow to let him stage a concert in the great man's honour. Larry's chance has finally arrived.

So there couldn't be a worse time for Larry's daughter to turn up; a daughter he didn't know he had. She wants answers and will stop at nothing to get them. Like vultures sensing weakness, Larry's enemies and creditors start to circle, and like so many times before, Larry's dreams start to crumble. But the more he gives up on the idea of the concert and fights for the people he loves, the stronger he becomes. Out of the wreckage, something magical emerges.
