She’s surprised to see Kamla with a cleaning mask on and when Kamla mutters that Khatija mustn’t have kept the house clean, Nadia is offended. Nadia has offered her mum’s home as a favour to them. Jas reminds her that they pay her rent though and Kamla thinks Nadia should be grateful for their custom. Kamla leaves and Jas makes Nadia a tea as a peace offering.

Kamla visits Mary at Brady’s news. Mary is annoyed that people must be talking about her from last night but Kamla reassures her everyone is just worried about her and Bill, that’s all. Kamla suggests seeing things from poor Bill’s point of view but Mary reminds her that it’s poor Zak that lost his wife, Bill still has his bit it won’t be for long if he carries on like he is. Kamla reminds her that Bill is a good man, maybe they should go out and do ballroom dance classes together. Mary thinks he may make an effort with others around actually.

Nadia reckons being back in Silverhill must be a come down for her as well but Jas knows she’ll still be able to travel. Nadia heads off when Jas’s cab arrives, she has some unfinished business to deal with.

Jas visits Aidan. His flat is a mess and he is smoking a spliff. Jas is annoyed at Aidan’s self pity and warns him to stop leaving messages on Roopa’s phone. He needs help, he can mess his own life up but he’s not going to do the same to Roopa’s. Aidan thinks Roopa’s throwing up and blaming him again. Jas has heard enough, she leaves just as he stumbles into the sofa convincing himself he can kick his habit, he’s done it before.
