Have your say

Iqbal plucks up the courage to ask Shazia out for dinner. Shazia is suddenly very busy though and hasn’t a moment free and puts Iqbal off. Dr Hassan is hiding from Mary behind a car when Shazia spots him and wonders what he’s scared of. Dr Hassan tells her how Mary has threatened to report him to the press, and his partners. He complains that Chunky has barred him from the chaat house as well. Shazia laughs; he’s certainly making an impression! Dr Hassan wonders what Shazia has planned that evening. She tells him, unless her knight in shining armour appears it will be a DVD on the sofa. Dr Hassan reckons she’ll choose an old classic but Shazia corrects him, she’ll be watching ‘Love Actually’. Dr Hassan laughs out loud; he would have thought she had better taste than that. He really puts Shazia’s back up and she accuses him of being smug, rude and arrogant as she turns on her heel and walks away. Dr Hassan’s apologies fall on deaf ears as she whips out her phone and calls Iqbal. If he’s free tonight she says, she’d love to take him up on his offer of dinner.

Vinnie wonders if Kuls knows what’s up with Ranbir. He tells him how Ranbir got all upset when he tried to get him involved in the panto. Kuljit shrugs, maybe he’s just busy. Later Kuljit tells Ranbir how Vinnie raved about his acting. Ranbir reckons he was just messing about; he’s not interested in acting.

Shazia picks up a takeaway for her dad as she’s going out. Dr Hassan spots her in Saffron Rays and goes in to apologise again. He’s surprised though to see her all dressed up for a night in front of the TV. Shazia airily informs him there’s been a change of plans. Her knight in shining armour came though after all, she’s got a date! Dr Hassan is crestfallen and asks Vinnie why he’s his own worst enemy. He’s driven Shazia into the arms of another man. Vinnie tries to cheer him up but fails when he reckons, an attractive woman like Shazia probably has the guys queuing up. He reckons Dr Hassan should phone her straight away and book a place in that queue. Dr Hassan says there’s no point, he’s messed up any chance with her now.
