Murtz

Born and raised in London, Murtz's school reports contained one recurring comment; 'Talks too much in class'. Fortunately for Murtz (short for Murtaza), his chatterbox tendencies only helped him on his path to a career in broadcasting.

While studying Business Management at University, Murtz put his height and high-cheek bones to good use by working as a model and dancer. His extra curricular activities included dancing with the crème of Bollywood, including Karishma Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhary, Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar.

Murtz hung up his dancing shoes to host University Shows and was soon headhunted by Zee TV, where before his twentieth birthday, he became a resident presenter and went on to host the popular shows 'Sorted' and 'Mutz Cutz'.

Trying his hand at online and local radio presenting, Murtz soon caught the attention of BBC Asian Network. He joined the station to host Sunday Soundtrack and Love Bollywood, where he interviewed one of Bollywood's biggest stars, Amitabh Bachchan. In 2003 Murtz moved to his own request show where he is able to put his 'chattering to good use.
