The Playlist

The Playlist is where most of the songs on daytime (6am-6pm) are selected from. The Playlist is selected each week by the Playlist Committee, made up of production teams from across the station and chaired by Mark Strippel, Head of Music.

The main genres on the playlist are Bollywood, Bhangra, British-Asian, Urban and South-Asian Pop and Rock. The tracks are rotated on three levels, A (high), B (medium) and C (low).

The list covers tracks played during daytime shows Monday to Friday, 6am-6pm, and Weekends from 7am-9am. The Playlist is updated every Monday morning at 6am.
