Zara Haq, Virginia, USA At the University of Virginia, the Pakistan Students League, along with students from other organizations, has put together a campus wide effort to raise funds for the victims of the earthquake. We have raised over $5000 in a matter of days, and we are now planning a benefit concert open to all the universities of Virginia to come and attend. Other efforts include donation boxes set up around school and off campus sites and t-shirt sales, with proceeds going towards earthquake relief. This is just the beginning of our fundraising plans, and we hope that our fellow students will continue to support us in our efforts. Check out our website for further information: www.student.virginia.edu/~pakistan
Guiseley Churches Together, Leeds Very many thanks to all who supported the Coffee Morning held at Guiseley Methodist Church, Leeds on 22nd October for the DEC Asia Earthquake Appeal. A total of more than £4,230 was raised in two hours. This includes Gift Aided money. This is a wonderful amount and indicates what can be achieved when the churches & the community work together. Thanks also to all who helped in the organisation of the event especially our friends at St Oswald's Parish Church, Guiseley Baptist and SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church who helped in the distribution of over 4,000 handbills and in the kitchen. It has been a good team effort. We thank God for the response and ask everyone to continue to pray and support this work.
Nageena Kauser, Bradford, West Yorkshire. I work at DLA Direct LLP, in Bradford, we organised a staff dress down day on Friday the 14 October and we had a food stall selling food donated by Asian Restaurants, and food we had brought in ourselves. We organised the event in 1 day, and rose over £1200. This amount was matched pound for pound by Barclays Bank Plc in Bradford, so the total was just over £2,500!!

Naseer ul Zafar, Muzafarabad, A.J.K, Pakistan i only want to say that please give aid to those charities and people who are serious, because mostly the charities have groups working in the area have some relegious and political agenda too.
if these people will succeed, then it will be another disaster in that area.
so please give your donations to some sincere group towhom you know. Not to those relegious or political charities, who have political/relegious agenda, who want to capture the people by their help and it will lead to unrest/unstability in the area.
