Hello. How can people say Preity Zinta should win best actress? Only Rani Mukerjee deserves to win this award as she has done so many different roles, from a paralysed victim in HDJPK to a battered wife in Yuva, then a bubbly person in Hum Tum to a lawyer in Veer-Zaara, and then a deaf and blind victim in Black. I'd just like to see if Preity Zinta play a role in the film Black as Rani did. And as far as looks are concerned it was Rani who walked away with the cake, and by Rani's recent role in Black she has definately proved that she is the 'RANI' of bollywood. As for me i think Rani should definately win for Hum Tum and next year for Black. Rani is definately one of the best and most attractive actresses of our generation. Can you see her playing an AIDS victim like shilpa shetty or any of the roles urmila has done? i doubt it. All she can do is look pretty in designer clothes and cry when yashji asks her to. Could she do BLACK like rani did? Of course not! Just because veer-zaara made the most money does NOT mean it was the best film - all it was a glorified love story, true yashraj style. None of those involved show any true originality. I, like many many other sensible people will be hoping that the awards go to films that DESERVE them, not just those with the funding.

It is a disgrace. A good movie like Maqbool, Ek Hasena Thi, Ab Tak Chappan, etc will not get a credit they deserve. Only commercial/family movies get award and if the actors acting in it are big.. then nothing wills stop them getting the award.
