The search is over for the BBC Asian Network Mix Award winner as Matt Hooghan and Jazz Kalsi took the crown, entertaining an enthralled crowd at the Clothes Show Live 2002. Impressing a star line up of judges including our own DJ Ritu, Matt and Jazz scooped the prize beating off fellow finalists Gurps and Dal Singh in a very close battle of the decks.
The winner collected a huge horde of prizes, including an Asian Network limited edition record bag stuffed full of exclusive signed CDs from top UK and Asian DJs. A designer outfit courtesy of Joe Bloggs and a night out for them and ten of their friends at a Def Jam Records gig, to party the night away to the winning mix.
In a spectacular show, which was broadcast live on the Asian Network from the National Exhibition Centre, the crowds were also entertained by special guests the Dhol Foundation.
