    Fastest Indian in the World

    15 Jan 07
He has been called the fastest Indian on wheels. On this report, Nihal takes a look at the career of Narain Karthikeyan and the complex world of F1 Racing.

When Narain Karthikeyan climbed into the Jaguar F1 car at Silverstone one chilly day in 2003 he made history by becoming the first Indian to drive a Formula One car. Now after transfering to Williams this season Narain awaits the chance to earn ‘promotion’ from test driver to once again get back on the track on race day. The Asian Network Report takes a look at the career of Narain Karthikeyan and the complex world of Formula One.

I wish he could do more to make us proud, but F1 is tough game wish him all the best.

well Karthik has not made a name for himself yet, apart from being the sole Indian ever to drive an F1 car, i wish he would have achieved the results that his team and India would love to revel in, but, alas! he always had dissapointing results that even his team has excoriated him and relegated him to a position of test driver. For all F1 fans and Indians alike, hope that picture changes.
