The New Market House was designed by Lord Rothchild's architect, Mr William Huckvale, who was responsible for many other buildings in Tring including the picturesque Louisa Cottages in Park Road. The local paper at the time said that 'it was erected by the inhabitants of Tring as a memorial to her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee'. It was opened in 1901.
