Maurice Greiffenhagen was appointed as Professor of Life Classes, with responsibility for drawing, painting and composition, at the Glasgow School of Art (GSA) in 1906. He was also an illustrator and a well-respected portrait artist and he remained on the staff of the GSA until 1928.
