This work in three parts (triptych) is a religious altarpiece. On the right and left wings are portraits of donors, a merchant and his wife aged 34 and 28 (according to the mark in the shields above their heads).
The centre panel of the triptych is signed with the monogram L: B. but the artist has not been identified, nor is it certain that all three parts of the alterpiece are by the same hand.
