A cottage interior with sun shining in through an open door. It shows two older females seated and two younger females standing. They are all braiding nets. Francis, or 'Fra' Newbery was one of the Directors of the Glasgow School of Art. He was closely associated with The Glasgow Boys and tutored Charles Rennie Mackintosh. He spent much of his life in Dorset. He taught in Bridport and moved to Corfe Castle in 1921.
