Part of a painting on hessian, taken from the frieze which decorated a wall in the naval canteen at Lyness Naval Base during the Second World War. It was painted by Duncan Letters, a shipwright working for Metal Industries and donated to the Visitor Centre by Mr J. Brandon-Jones, a civil engineer at Lyness from 1939 to 1945.
