St Nicholas, his name inscribed in Slavonic, holds a large codex with ornamented cover. He is flanked above by clouds from which emerge the figures of Christ and the Virgin, their names given in Greek. A silver revetment (riza) belonging to this icon and datable to 1817 is preserved.
