Geminiani is depicted half-length, turned to the right but facing forwards, wearing a braided blue coat with red collar and cuffs, white neck tie and cuffs, his left arm leaning on a table while holding a printed edition of the violin solo part to Corelli's Op.6 concertos, opened at the end of no.7 and the beginning of no.8, with his right hand pointing to the music. Geminiani was a pupil of Corelli before achieving fame as a violinist and composer.
