Sitting on Gentleman's Row, facing west across Enfield Chase, is the Grade II listed building Fortescue Lodge. The lodge is the white building in this image and dates back to the seventeenth century. It sits alongside Fortescue Villas and The Coach House which date from the nineteenth and sixteenth centuries, respectively. Fortescue Villas initially functioned as a school for girls, and later became a children's home.
