Philip Flanagan graduated from Camberwell College in London in 1985. In the last 20 years he has gained a reputation as a painter and sculptor, with works in major collections in Ireland, Britain and America. He lives and works in Co. Fermanagh.
Flying Boulder was the first prize winner in the 2004 Revealing Objects open competition at the Naughton Gallery. This work is part of a series exploring the large stones, sculpted by man and nature that form the ancient landscape of Ireland.
