If John Humphrys can do hip-hop…

John Humphrys Getting down with the grime? "DJ" John Humphrys will present a hip-hop edition of Mastermind for Radio 1Xtra

Jeremy Paxman's one-man show has been packing them in at the Edinburgh Fringe. Now John Humphrys is to cement an unlikely alliance with Radio 1Xtra.

He will host a special hip-hop edition of Mastermind as part of the radio station's celebration of the genre. "Yo, John…." as they almost never say in the Today studio.

Rapper Lethal B will take turns in the scary black chair along with 1Xtra DJs Semtex, Target and A.Dot, as the Radio 4 veteran grills them on their hip-hop general knowledge and, of course, their specialist subject.

Fans of Humphrys and hip-hop will have to wait until Monday 22 September to catch the special show on BBC iPlayer.

So in the spirit of silly season, we wondered what other unlikely presenting jobs BBC talent could be asked to take on.

Jeremy Clarkson hosts Woman's Hour? Jenni Murray voices Snog, Marry, Avoid? What about DJ Semtex for Songs of Praise?

Dream out of the box, dabble in some blue skies thinking and all that jazz by emailing your presenter mis-match suggestions to Ariel Team.
