Nick Grimshaw will host BBC Three panel show

Nick Grimshaw 'Annoyingly talented' but will he be sweating his new TV job?

It's debatable whether Nick Grimshaw has made his mark on radio, but this is not going to stop him from moving into television.

The Radio 1 breakfast presenter is going to host a new weekday panel show for BBC Three, to premiere shortly. He will be joined by team captains Rickie and Melvin, who are Kiss FM DJs; and regular panellist The Saturdays' Rochelle Humes.

Sweat The Small Stuff will feature celebrity guests, pitted on different teams, and being put through a series of games and questions which are meant to 'draw out the really important matters in life' and discuss fickle obsessions.

Grimshaw is predictably 'really excited' about the show. 'Being the host of a panel show is what self-centred dreams are made of and I can't wait to show off on both the radio and, now, primetime television,' he said modestly.

BBC Three controller Zai Bennett said the show promises to be 'quick-witted, topical and silly, but most of all, very, very funny'. 'Sweat The Small Stuff has been built around the annoyingly talented Nick Grimshaw,' he added.

The eight-part series has been commissioned for a two-series run and is made by indie Talkback. The 30-minute programmes will air weekly.
