New presenters for Live In Concert

Tomlinson and Hoban Adam Tomlinson and Simon Hoban will present In Concert

A talent search for Radio 3's Live In Concert shows made in northern England has found two local radio presenters and a musician.

The hunt, launched last December, was to find voices from the Midlands and North to present the evening programme of live classical concerts around the UK.

It's now been announced that Adam Tomlinson (Sony award-nominated Breakfast presenter for Radio York), Simon Hoban (Radio Merseyside drivetime presenter) and Derbyshire-based guitarist Tom McKinney have been chosen.

In coming months Live In Concert will feature a number of evenings from the Midlands and North, including Elgar's Dream of Gerontius from the Birmingham Symphony Hall on April 12 and performances of music from Brahms and Beethoven in Liverpool on May 2.
