David Conway to be BBC Studios chief operating officer

David Conway

David Conway has been appointed chief operating officer for BBC Studios and Post Production and will start in his new role on May 1.

He will be responsible for leading and managing business support, including HR and procurement.

Having previously worked for Bacardi-Martini, Conway is currently head of Investment and Major Projects in BBC Corporate Finance and has been a non-executive member of the S&PP board since last summer.

Based at London TVC, Elstree and Bristol, S&PP is a commercial arm of the BBC and provides studios, post production and digital services to the wider media industry, making hundreds of shows for UK and international broadcasters.

Recent credits include Harry Hill's TV Burp for ITV, Deal or No Deal for Channel 4 and the blind audition shows for The Voice UK on BBC One.
