What format are the images stored on?
In the past, images were delivered in hard-copy format, for example transparencies, prints and negatives. But the BBC is currently going through a massive transformation whereby all images in the future will be delivered digitally. The advantage of using digital images is the fact that they can be easily delivered. We can deliver them via e-mail and we can be more responsive.
