What's in the BBC Photo Library?
The photograph library is one of the BBC's most valuable assets, containing an estimated 10 million images, showing the diversity of the BBC and its broadcasting history over the last 80-plus years. The photograph library is a really exciting place to be because it represents not only the history of the BBC but also world history as well. The actual store is overwhelming. Until you see it you don't realise how much material there is available. Every time you go down there you find something new. Photographs, transparencies, negatives, prints, everything you can imagine.
