Though some might think the moon landings began and ended with Neil Armstrong's 'one small step', this documentary shows that, for many years, the USSR looked more likely to get there first. presented by Michael Portillo (pictured above), the programme contains contributions from Patrick Moore, Soviet cosmonauts and astronauts from the Apollo program.
