Maureen O'Sullivan starred in six 'Tarzan' films and is pictured above with Johnny Weissmuller in the film 'Tarzan Escapes' (1936). In this interview, she talks about her delight at returning to movie acting, her preference for cinema over the stage and her respect for the Hollywood 'star system', which created careful public images for all the top actors. She reveals how she has encouraged her daughter (Mia Farrow) in her acting career and discusses her belief that we should not dwell on the past but live for the present.
