Synopsis
BBC news reporter Patrick Smith explains the atmosphere in Berlin as the Soviet blockade takes hold and the Western powers are forced to keep their sectors of the city supplied by flying in essential goods. He talks to the citizens, who are managing to lead almost normal lives amid the ruins and increasing discord, some of whom feel that war might be better than the tension of the current situation.
