Synopsis
A campaign by feminists to 'reclaim the night' and make the streets of Oxford safer for female students is mocked by 'Cherwell', the Oxford University student newspaper. To add insult to injury, the paper refuses to withdraw the offending article, resulting in a call for its ban. Most surprising is the writer's identity, which adds to the furore in this male-dominated environment.

Cherwell, named after a river in Oxford, is the independent student newspaper of Oxford University and was founded in 1920. It has continued since then as a weekly publication during term-time.
