Reem Magribi
I'm a motivated person and what moves me in my work and my life is my feeling of being Arabic, my Arabic heritage and that shows in my having founded The Yap. Also, what moves me, particularly when it comes to work is being known for what I do; for the field that I work in and having my work appreciated. I like debate, discussion and competition. And I'm an organised person especially my work life, but my main problem is that I nit-pick, I focus on small points for long periods of time if they're not exactly as I want them, which is not good because it means I waste time. Also, if I don't like the way somebody else has done something I will take it over and I will make sure that it is the way I like it, which is a problem that I will have to overcome.

My feeling of being an Arab goes back to when I was younger, I went to Syria every Summer. We learnt Arabic there and I thank my parents for teaching me and my sisters Arabic, it's very important and also during our "sacred dinners" we discuss issues that relate to us and to our Arabic friends or friends in Arabic countries, and the problems that we face. As a result of all this, and the fact that I go to Arabic parties as well, the majority of my friends are Arabic - I do have a few European friends but I don't have any English friends. This also goes back to the fact that I went to international schools and not English schools. However, once I enter the work place and work in English or foreign western companies, no doubt I'll have English acquaintances, if not friends.
