Nick and Margaret
Week 10
Nick and Margaret are Sir Alan's 'eyes and ears'. They trail the candidates through the tasks, checking they stay on track, making sure there's no cheating and ultimately reporting back to Sir Alan their opinion of the candidates' performances. Both steal the show with their dry wit and classic one-liners. So what do we know about Sir Alan's lieutenants? Nick Hewer Marital status: He's unmarried but lives with his partner in France CV: The former PR man was a key part of Amstrad's management team. Hobby: Nick's happiest riding one of his vintage tractors Classic facial expression: When Nick purses his lips and raises an eyebrow, you know when one of the candidates has truly messed up. On the candidates: Described Kristina's tactic as 'superb' when she asked the horse artist to go with her team. Appears to hold a soft spot for Simon. 'Simon's got a very agile mind and sometimes agility can be confused with something like a grasshopper'.... Classic clip: Not impressed with Katie and Paul's door-stepping tactic in week three. Classic line: 'Taking cheese to France is a waste of time' Start-up taskDoor-stepping for business does not impress Nick Margaret Mountford Marital status: divorced CV: Former corporate lawyer with a fearsome reputation. On the board of directors for Amstrad. Hobby: Her interests are suitably serious, swapping law for papyrology, she's studying for PhD in the study of ancient Greek and Latin scrolls. Classic facial expression: We love to see Margaret's eyes widen with disapproval. We've never seen her eyes roll more than when Tre tried an illegal tactic to knock VAT off the lolly sticks back in week four's sweet-making task. On the candidates: Margaret appeared to take a shine to Adam. When the rest of the team turned on Adam during the art task, she stuck up for him. 'Adam's coming across perhaps as a rather dour commercial man, but he is asking questions about price - and someone has to ask that'. Classic clip: Margaret's got a sense of humour. Watch her take to the streets in disguise in our week nine clips. Classic line: Margaret admits to not being 'street'. After watching the dancers in the trainer advert in week nine: 'Now I think I understand what bump'n'grind is'. Margaret's maskThe boys sell their wares and Margaret's in disguise
