Pants, mops and the wheelchairWeek 10 Every week we viewers relish in the bad decisions of the apprentices and often find ourselves shouting 'why?' at the television. From the safety of our armchairs it's easy to think of all the better ways you could do the task yourself. This week, the task was about picking good products to sell. It wasn't about the candidates' potential television presenting skills, but sussing out goodies for their market. So what on earth were they thinking with their pick of products? The presentersKatie attacks Lohit with a pillow - for fun!Swotty SimonSimon's done his homework on Sir Alan. Kristina nearly choked on her chocolate fountain and made a total mess with the mop. It was calamity. Perhaps she was dazzled by the chance to take the limelight, because her decision to make Lohit sell her slimming knickers was cruel. 'What would your customer be thinking?', Sir Alan asked. A man selling 'panty girdles' failed to amuse him. And what would the customer think if they knew how Katie referred to the potential knicker buyers - 'for people who can't be arsed to diet'. Naomi's decollage product. Sir Alan wrinkled his face in disgust - what on earth were they? No one was any nearer to discovery by the end of the show. Had they done their research it probably would have made a good sell, but none of them knew what it was about let alone even being able to pronounce the name right. The ultimate gamble was Simon's wheelchair. 'What brain-dead chose that?' barked Sir Alan What a risk! To pick such a sensitive product with two amateur presenters to try and sell was asking for trouble. In fact Naomi and Tre pulled their pitch off, and the two wheelchair sales pushed Simon's team out of the pits. The last two weeks they've been selling products. Next week it's the interview round. Will the final five be better at selling themselves?
