In it to win it...Week 12 That's it then. After 20,000 applications, twelve weeks of gruelling tasks and interviews, sixteen 'love 'em or hate 'em' candidates, and the most thrilling final ever, Lee McQueen has been named as the winner of The Apprentice 2008. Lee has accepted a job with Sir Alan, where he will work for one of the business mogul's media enterprises. It is whispered that his first role may be in a brand new division promoting the new generation of big screen advertising now seen in train and tube stations. While Sir Alan reckons the Middlesex lad is "very convincing", he's not quite such a big fan of Lee's infamous reverse pterodactyl impressions. He says it must now be banned from the boardroom and reserved for the company Christmas party! Lee proved to be a hugely popular candidate from the beginning of the Apprentice process, and whether he was selling fish, directing actors, or doing alarm clock impressions in Morocco, he certainly gave every task his all. Never once taken back into the boardroom by a losing team leader, he led three winning teams and still managed to impress Sir Alan during the little face-to-face time they got (we're sure it took more than a mutual love of Tottenham Hotspur to do that). Over the last twelve weeks you have had the opportunity to watch all of the Apprentice candidates in action. If you think you've learnt the tricks of trading, know how to sell, and can manage a team, we've got a fabulous job opportunity for you. If you think you have what it takes to be the best of the best next year, why not apply to be on the show when it returns in 2009? Applications are now open. As the winner of The Apprentice 2008 would enthusiastically proclaim; "That's what I'm talking about!"
