The Apprentice

Week 9 There are only three more shows to go and it's time for the candidates on The Apprentice to prove they really belong on the fast-track to success. Next week, the action moves to Tuesday night so tune in to BBC One at 9pm as we reach the final stages on the race to the top.

This time around, Sir Alan sets a task which is all about cars. The teams take charge of a fleet of high-value, exclusive vehicles - and the team making the most money from renting them out will win.

This is an out-and-out sales task and the fantasy cars on offer impress just about everyone. Surely this is a double dream come true for our boy racer hopefuls? The girls look pretty chirpy too!

Tuesday's a long way off and we have three preview clips to give a taster of the action to come.

The first clip shows the moment Sir Alan reveals the task to his teams. It's must-see TV as the unhappy-looking crew stand amid the clapped-out cars in the breakers yard... but everyone's expression changes when they hear the huge engines roar and the performance cars glide around the corner...

Lee and Alex love these cars but their team-mate Lucinda looks distinctly displeased. The boys are off trying to deal so Lucinda is left on her own, but she doesn't know much about cars, and she knows even less about selling. She is, however, classically entertaining as she desperately tries to do a deal on the billionaire's baby - the Zonda. Unfortunately, she's made a terrible mistake...

Mind you, Lucinda isn't the only one who has taken a wrong turning on this task. Michael has chosen what he thinks is a top location to pitch but he's not having much luck. He's still trying with his sales technique too - some would say very trying - but when he actually follows one potential customer up the road, begging, it's a performance you really can't miss.
